WESTCOMBE PARK NOMADS
MATCH REPORT
SHOOTS MEET THEIR NEMESIS
NOMADS WIN 64-22
Do you know what nemesis means? A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent, personified in this case by the Combe Nomads.
A wound Nomad is a dangerous beast, this week saw the return from injury of Gareth Desborough, Ollie Walker, Tom Walker, Riley Hyde Riley Hyde-Green and Kerem Eastwood.
Luckily for Shoots we had to play on the Gents pitch, so our scoring was not able to utilise the free running wildebeests on the wings of Will Dowden, Danny Sullivan and tee hee Tom Walker. The Nomads came out like a wrecking ball on steroids, a sight to behold, when Shoots had released the game had started they were 33-0 down after 15 minutes, try’s from “The Mongrel” Chris Christopher Watts, “Little Sam” Sam Sam O'Neill, “Warship” Jack Harvey, “Marvel” Matthew Gosling, “Get out of my way” Will Dowden and “The Enforcer” Rob 'Rob Lee, conversions by “The Ferret” Ollie Walker. As “Big Dave”| Dave Lewis was a tad knackered, Combe let the foot off the gas for 10-minute spell so the Ref could keep up and make some decisions and get some ticks in the assessors boxes. That done which ruined the game a little, The Nomads went through the gears again and were a sight to behold, attracting the supporters from the 1st teams’ game to come and watch. Apart from the odd lapse saw try’s from “The Ferret|” Ollie Walker, “The Enforcer|” Rob 'Rob Lee, “Oil Tanker” Jamie Taylor” “The Warship” Jack Harvey, and conversions by “The Legend” Connor Jarrold., Rugby at its best you should have been there!
The path of the righteous Nomad is beset on all sides by the
Inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men
Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will
shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness
for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children
And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious
Anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers
And you will know
Our name is Snapey’s Nomads when we lay our vengeance upon thee.
