Blame Nikki Davies and Chris Lewis for this report, they know why!

We're leaving together, but still it's farewell
And maybe we'll come back
To Combe, who can tell?
I guess there is no one to blame
We're leaving ground (leaving ground)
Will things ever be the same again?
It's the final countdown
The final countdown
Oh
We're heading for the Park (Park)
And still we stand tall
'Cause maybe they've seen us (seen us)
And welcome us all, yeah
With so many light years to go
And things to be found (to be found)
I'm sure that we'll all miss it so
It's the final countdown

It was a very improved Beckenham side that turned up, than the one we beat 40-27 at their place, recruiting is obviously going well for them. Feilding only one change due to injury, a first this season, we have to put the inferior Nikki Davies into the spot. (Ha-ha). Think we may have a spy in the camp, as our XXX top secret game plan had been leaked. After upsetting them with Jimmy Bignell crashing over in the first 5 minutes, we defended for most of half. Very well and 5-5, 5-12, and just before half time Jamie Taylor crashed over to drag us back to 10-12, Ollie Mr reliable couldn’t hit a barn door for some reason.
Second half a little shuffle round saw the Razor Chris Lewis next to his mate Nikki in the centre, not too shabby for a 3rd team. And a small lump Kurtis Pinkerton returning to the side at second row. It didn’t go according to plan and Beckenham scored 10-17. Don’t panic Pike, we were certainly getting on top, if only the ref knew it! With the pack’s dominance and the centres skills it was only a matter of time, Jamie Taylor cut a line to the try line, and Ollie found his boots, 17-17. A tense last 20 minutes and Darren who had been subbed was having kittens on the touch line. Needn’t have worried Big Sam O’Neil crashed over top try as well, but no the ref said not grounded, must have been watching the lesser spotted wood sprite at the time! Not worry in the next play came our saviour Ray Smith to make sure. 22-17 as Ollie Walker hit the cross-bar Numpty. Probably one of better dug in performances under severe pressure top performances all round.
Man, of the Match must be Jimmy Bignal.
