Convincing win against strong opponents.

After a hard weeks training the coaching teams expectations were high and the boys didn't let us down.
From the kick off we attacked hard and from a well worked line-out Reece Conlon took control and we rolled the ball over 5-0.
The visitors got a penalty on 8 mins 5-3.
We decided not to stick to the game plan and let Guildford score on 12 minutes 5-8.
After some words the boys got their heads back on and started to be aggressive at the breakdown
lead by Reece and with Nick Pace tackling everything and stealing ball things started to change for the better.
With good team play Harvey Young went over on 30 minutes with Johnny O'Hehir converting. 12-8.
The boys started to work even better as a side, plenty of positive chat and encouragement, Josh Penny who had an outstanding game at 13 goes over on 35 Johnny converts 19-8
A penalty from Johnny on 38 minutes see us 22-8 up at the break.

The second half started very much like the first lots of aggression and positive tackles. James catlin cuts a great line and from about 20 out sees him beat a couple and go over under the posts on 56 minutes johnny converts. 29-8
The oppo score two tries so at 63 minutes its 29-20 not a happy chat behind the posts was had!
Reece goes on a 30 yard trundle to get the team back in shape, but then gets a yellow for retaliation against an eye gouge. Jordan Cox gives away a yellow card as well for what we could see was a wrong decision.
The boys man up and Louis Botsio playing at his new found favourite spot at loosehead was everywhere.
On 78 minutes Josh Penny cuts another great line and goes over johnny converts 36-20
From the restart the oppo try a switch kick which goes straight down Luke Maybank's throat who runs the 50 yards under the post with the 2 points added by johnny 43-20.
As a side we played well for 60% of the game and let discipline slip on to many occasions.
But the positivity amongst the players is getting back to where we had it last season.
Playing a game at that tempo is great to see and the more we train as a team and work as a team we will be back to what we want.
So many great performances from the likes of Nick Pace, Chris lewis, Louis Botsio and Josh Penny.
But the man of the match even with the cheeky yellow is Reece Conlon,
Boys even with no game next week I expect you to train and keep this going.
happy and hungover Simon.
