Winning run continues - Barnes beaten

A forgettable 1st half where the team looked a shadow of their former selves and failed to reach the levels of perfomance we have already come to expect, even at this early stage of the season. Turning around 10-7 up and failing to capitalise on the slope advantage in the 1st half, 'Combe needed to be at their very best if they were to contain Barnes in the 2nd period and prevent the 1st loss of the season.

The half time chat was less than complimentary and littered with expletives, but these are an honest bunch of players who new that they had let themselves down a little and needed to make amends.

If the first half performance was dire, the second half was the absolute opposite with forwards and backs now combining well, players competing at the breakdown and ensuring they were 1st to every loose ball. A very good display of rugby indeed.

The pressure on Barnes defences inevitably created scoring opportunities which were taken with aplomb and in the end, Combe ran out worthy winners and maintained their 100% record.
