Richmond Run Riot & secure the double

Another hastily arranged friendly against a team in the division above gave us the opportunity to see if we are as good as we think we are, the simple truth on the day was a resounding no, we never reached the standard of performance witnessed in our previous friendly against Blackheath - a bad day at the office some would say.

There were a number of very good individual performances but the team never really got going and succcumbed to a heavy defeat against a very good Richmond Vikings side.

Back to the league campaign next week where we face Redingesians who are unbeaten in their 4 games this season and currently sit top of the league failing to acheive maximum points on only 1 occcasion.

'Combe Extra's are going to have to be at their very best to walk away with a victory but the attitude to the manner of the defeat and abject performance at the hands of Richmond was superb and will hopefully carry through to Saturday where we will see a positive reaction.
