'Combe Dominate Dorking

The game started with a backrow in the front row and a 10 at 6, Dorking tried to put us under the cosh early but with some clever team play Christian Weald went over after a 30 yard dash for line bang on the 5 minute mark, Phil Loyden converted. We try to and successfully spin the ball wide but we let ourselves down with some weak decision making at the final pass or wrong choice of running line.

Lloyd Cole playing 6 leaped like a chunky salmon for a charge down and Harvey Young showing some footballing skills kicked through and scored on 23 minutes. Dorking had another go but the defence held well and saw Luke Maybank go over in the 31st minute. Dorking responded just before 1/2 time with a converted try. The boys held out well till the break with some stout defending on our line.

Some changes were made at 1/2 half time a good team talk and the boys were game on.
Straight from the re-start the boys went for it Josh Maybank score after 2 minutes and Loyden converted.
Dorking came again and score after 47 minutes. Phil (Im built for comfort not for speed) Loyden decided no more of that and hit the fullback with a great tackle, the fullback eventually got to his feet "asking which prop was that?"
The boys then stepped up a gear and Matt Holmes went over after 59, minutes Livett converts.
Dorking re-start couple of fumbles and the ball lands in Matt Swans hands virtually on our try line, off he goes beats the whole team and scores a top draw try, Livett converts (61st minute).
Dorking by this stage don't have a clue how to defend against the boys, again after some slick hands and a move of 80 yards sees Dave Watkins go over on the 65th minute, great team try finished by a great team man.
After a break on the bench Harvey Young comes back on and after some great team play still has some work to do but showed maturity beyond his years and scores a try under the posts on the 67th minute, Livett converts.
It's not long before Combe score again and Rory Tanner showing his wheels scores a great individual effort on the 71st minute, Livett converts.
The more we throw it wide the more Dorking didn't know what to do with us, the ball ends up on the left wing in Birchy's paws who has some work to do, bounces one and runs over another right on the 80th minute Livett converts.

Final score Dorking 12, Combe 64.

It was close for the man of the match, his name isn't mentioned above but Ben Hennah has now been converted to the backrow and got man of the match, tackle like a man possessed, chased everything and put a ton of work in in the tight.
