Sunday 23rd September 2018
WPRFC vs Tonbridge Judds
Score: 41-12
Park pitch

There’s a deluge of rain to greet us and a few grumblings about the weather.
However the park pitch is handling the rain very well.
It’s great that all 22 players selected will get a minimum of a half each. Whilst this rule only becomes ‘law’ next season your erstwhile correspondents opinion, for it is only an opinion, is that the RFU should have implemented this rule years ago and hopes all teams follow the rule in the spirit with which it is meant.
WP start uphill. Fair start, early exchanges & Scrum on half way from a WP knock on.
TJ kick, lucky bounce Max Sangs pursues to touch down in our area?

A marvellous try.

Good line out, Another pen against TJ.
Another good line out, forward momentum, WP making ground.
Scrum awarded to WP, Denz burst, feint pass to Hallett who passes to Harry Shotton and the afterburners are lit and bosh he goes over for a try in the corner. Conversion
Missed. 12-5
Restart, Attritional play, TJ scrum on WP 10. Pick and go Mikey robust tackle which leads to TJ player knocking on.
Half time 12-5. And starters / finishers swap. Hopefully WP can push the downhill advantage home.
