Westcombe Park RFC Golf Day
On Friday 30th August, 56 golfers, of varying ability, met at High Elms Golf Club to contest the various trophies.
Many thanks to both POLHILL GARDEN CENTRE and SHEPHERD NEAME who were the major sponsors of the day.
The morning contest was a 9 hole Texas Scramble where teamwork trumps individual brilliance .
The Novell family from POLHILL GARDEN CENTRE were the Scramble team winners.
In the afternoon session, Martin Price was ‘Nearest the Pin’ on the 16 hole.
Longest drive was Colin Taylor, who nearly drove the green on 17th !
The Sponsors Stableford winner was John McCormack.
Stableford-best points on the front 9 was David Grace.
Stableford- best points on the back 9 was Troy Pender.
Stableford team winners were Dave Mason, Terry Rose and Mark Lodge.
The Overall Stableford Competition winner was Colin Taylor.
Many congratulations to all the winners and everyone who took part and made it such a successful day.
