Westcombe Park RFC is proud to announce that it has been awarded the RFU Whole Club Accreditation and Sport England Clubmark.
On Sunday 9th September Mike Cordell , RFU Council Member and Secretary of Kent County RFU, presented Paul Cavalli, Westcombe Park RFC’s President with its Accreditation plaque and certificates witnessed and surrounded by players from the club’s thriving Mini and Youth sections.
Westcombe Park, one of the foremost clubs in Kent, playing its senior rugby this season in National Three South East, having previously enjoyed thirteen years with the National Clubs Association playing at both levels 2 & 3, is one of the first to earn Accreditation in the County.
Paul Cavalli paid tribute to this success by stating: ‘As a club, Westcombe Park is proud of the effort put in by all volunteers from each age group who have made this achievement possible. I would like to say a special thank you to Chris Sands, the club’s Director of Youth Rugby, and Niall Finucane, for all their hard work.’
This Award will give tremendous support to the bid being currently undertaken to finance a new clubhouse which will provide vastly improved facilities and help increase access to a broader range of sports for people of all ages from every part of the local community and become a top class venue for the wider area.
