These are men and women who, in their time as members, have contributed to the running of the club. Some are quiet shadows that go about giving their time freely and go unrecognised. Others are more on show but do not look for reward and only do what they do to improve the club on a weekly basis.

It has not gone unnoticed that many of the work horses are of an age that suggests it won’t be too long before they retire from their valiant efforts.

The list of new VP’s nominated was longer than usual but it contained men and women, who are often overlooked, that have already given long service and others that can take the club on into the future.

The elected vice-presidents are:

Shane Reid – work with the Academy building for the future.

Ian Dury – supporting wife and running & playing in the 3rd team. Gave his time and money into the current Kitchen rebuild. Part of the club tradesman group and always stepping forward to help.

Krys Meakin runs 200 hundred club and gives her time in all respects when she is able. A long and respected supporter of the club.

Colin Bridle - Still around club as a supporter and sponsor and coached an age group from youngest mini to academy.

Ben Assender - Ex Player and a Head Coach from youngest mini to current under 15’s squad.

Darren Chambers – Joined the club at the age of 11 and continued to play through to senior level. Since giving up playing he has been coaching mini rugby and is now Head coach of this seasons U11’s. He is well respected by his coaches and the families and a good representative for all the junior rugby.

Marion Thompson – Supported Fraser throughout his career at Westcombe Park and involved herself in many activities throughout the years quietly being a cog in the wheel keeping the club alive.

Gareth Hall – Major driver of the success of the 3s squad. Gave his time and money into the current Kitchen rebuild. Part of the club tradesman group and always stepping forward to help.

David Vallely. Hard work with the 2s and management with kit. Prepared to help in all areas and will be a great asset in the future

The Dick Mellish tankard was awarded to Chris Assender in recognition of his tireless efforts to bring money into the club through sponsorship, increasing lunch attendance, collecting unpaid membership fees and encouraging members to use the clubs facilities throughout the week. In his first year as Chairman he has steadied the ship but he realises there is much work to do and he will not shy away from it.
