A Tackle too Far

"Unbelieveable"
- James Lee
MATCH REPORT
NOMADS 3 CHARLTON PARK 37
Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? Caught in a landslide, No escape from reality.
Open your eyes, look up to the skies and see, we are The Nomads, we need no sympathy,
Because We’re easy come, easy go, Little high, little low,
Any way the wind blows really does matter to us, to me us.
Snapey, I just missed a tackle, Put a man in for a try,
How I wish I never miss a tackle again,
Combe, life had just begun, but now it’s gone, and we’ve thrown it all away.
Nomads, ooh, didn’t mean to let you down, I will be back again this time tomorrow,
Carry on, carry on, as if everything really matters. Its not late, our time has come,
Send shivers down their spines, Body's aching all the time. Training everybody, we’ve got to go,
Got to leave it all behind and face the truth. Mama, ooh (any way the wind blows),
We don't wanna loose, we sometimes wish we have never missed at all. We see a little more training from Snapey, Scaramouche, Scaramouche, we will do the Fandango,
Thunderbolt and lightning, Very, very frightening Nomads.
(Galileo) Galileo. (Galileo) Galileo, Galileo Figaro Magnifico-o-o-o-o.
We are The Nomads, everybody loves us. They are The Nomads from a good family.
Special mention to the following.
Riley Hyde Green Man of the Match Again!
James Lee from hero to sinner Yellow Card 80 min!
Tom Walker and Alex Ridley top performance.
Rod, Jack and Doug for lasting 80 mins
Twiggy for most improved player.
Great Combe spirit shown today by everyone who made the effort to be available, And for the efforts on the pitch. It was a much better team performance, but we got over run over by missed tackles again and failed to finish the opportunities we created. It doesn’t feel we lost by that much? Thanks to one and all who play and support us.
