X-Men looking to do the double over league new boys

Tring travel to Combe on Saturday looking to exact revenge on the comprehensive defeat handed out to them by X-Men back in early September. The X-Men on the other hand will be looking to complete their first double of the season as the return fixtures start to kick in.

Tring's fortunes have been mixed but their results to date show that on their day, they are a match for anyone and taken lightly at your peril as the very close games v Esher and Redingesians and victories over Oxford and Bracknell have shown.

The X-Men have been up and down of late, some players only getting one game in the last 5 weeks due to cancellations and the way the league fixtures were drawn, ultimately this has seen us slip to 10th place in the table which surely belies the ability that we have but ultimately, the table doesn't lie!!. This fixture and indeed next weeks game against Worthing are certainly winnable and gives us an opportunity to move up the league table providing we play as we know we can. There are only 11 points covering 2nd to 12th place in the league and with 16 games to play, there is everything still to play for.

Kick off is at 2pm, the referee is Paula Cook and the weather is set to be bright and sunny if a little chilly at 3 degrees Celsius.

For only the 2nd or 3rd time this season, we have a full squad of 20 with everyone playing in position so the expectations from the coaches are high.
