The magnificent Colts progress through the Bowl Quarter Final after a hard fought 0-15 win at Old Gravesendians
The Colts showed tremendous application and guts to record a hard fought 0-15 win against Old Gravesendians in the Kent U17 Bowl Quarter Final on Sunday. Their reward is a Semi Final away to Dover on March 8th. This was the best that the Colts had played all season and was cheered on by good number of travelling supporters. Playing uphill in the first half, the Colts spent most of the half in the opposition's territory but only managed to sneak the lead on the stroke of half time. The second half was played with great intelligence, using the slope and pinning Old Gravesendians back in their own half. Two tries were scored through the second half to record a 0-15 victory against a determined and very gracious opposition. The progress that this mixed age group squad has made throughout the season having just been formed less than six months ago has been staggering and their potential is enormous, especially if they keep learning and playing as they did on Sunday. The boys should be very proud of themselves and with two weeks of training ahead of them, they should look forward to the challenge of the semi final against Dover.
