Obituary
Keith Jones passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday 5th October. He had been ill for some time and in recent weeks many of his friends managed to go and see him to say goodbye.

Keith was a short, stocky Welsh prop – strong as an ox. A proud Welsh speaker (with a cockney accent) he was from Trimsaran, near Llanelli, and I believe was at school with the elder Quinell. Following a childhood illness he was left with one leg thinner and shorter than the other. This gave him a natural sidestep which, if he had ever had the ball in hand, would have proved very useful.

Keith was a real and genuine Gentleman, in character and association, and he was proudly awarded his cap in 1985. He was typical of those that made Combe what it was for many years and after retiring he was a regular on the touchline and in the bar. Keith had a lovely baritone voice and had sung with the London Welsh and Croydon male voice choirs.

He will be missed, his humour, his positive attitude but mostly because he was a nice bloke to have known.

Our thoughts are with Petrina and his family at this time.

Keith RIP
