It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Chris Donnelly, on Tuesday 4th October.

The Funeral for Chris is at 11.00am Kemnal Park Cemetery on the 28th October followed by a gathering at the rugby club.

Chris was about 17/18 when he joined the club (53 years ago). During the first couple of years he played on the wing for the 2's, and then went on to be occasionally selected for the first team - (he had transformed himself into a very handy scrum half by then).

He was a regular and very popular Easter tourist and, with a few guys from Westcombe Park, he played with Old Citizens and Beckenham rugby clubs in Colorado in the 70s.
He was one of the now famous "Golden Oldies".

Chris was also the club's fixture secretary for many years and was a Vice President of the club, and long term sponsor.

In later years Chris was a keen golfer

Chris passed away after a short sudden illness, and our thoughts are with his family and friends. Information on the funeral arrangements will be posted here when we know more.
