1 in 30 young people between the age of 14 and 35 have an undiagnosed heart defect.

Partice Muamba had an undiagnosed heart condition and it caused heart failure on the pitch. He was lucky!! Cheick Tiote wasn’t!!

All elite sporting organisations now test their members for heart abnormalities. These can now be treated if diagnosed.

COMING SOON TO WPRFC

CRY, the organisation behind testing, will come to the club and test 100 members. If a condition is found it will be referred to a specialist immediately. The club is working with the Ben Daniels Memorial Fund to make this available. There will be a cost per member.

Watch this space for further details later in the year.
