Our Mission is to identify, recruit and develop professional players for the Combe 1st XV and to create a long standing club based legacy of top quality individuals with talent to succeed.

The Combe Academy focuses on Player Development and uses a competitive fixture list as well as National Competitions to develop players and achieve its goal. The Academy U18’s & U19’s, will play fixtures against other age grade sides in order to stretch their overall capability.

Combe’s Under 19’s won the National U19 Knock Out Plate in 2012 at Northampton Saints Franklin’s Gardens ground which is testament to the hard work and dedication of the squad and their coaching team. Each season Academy players will also train with the Combe 1st XV and a number will be invited to attend pre-season summer training with the 1st XV. Those good enough will be selected upwards into the National Senior ranks to represent Combe as several players have in the last season with 3 playing at National level and a further five players representing the 1st XV in cup competitions.
