WPRFC would like to thank the following people for their input in Westcombe Park Rugby club and have now either retired or are moving on to pastures new.

Joe Bonner, David Bonner, James Lindfield*, Jamie Forsyth and Lee Covington have all retired from the game, collectively they have given many years service and have all positively impacted the squads they have played in. I'm sure these prominent players will be seen around the club over the coming season where they will of course be most welcome, maybe we'll see one or two of them donning tracksuits and stepping into coaching roles in due course.

*We think James has some decent rugby left in him and are working with a major strapping supplier to see if we can patch him up and get at least one more season out of him - watch this space!

Nick Porter has left to join Tunbridge Judds, Miki Zanirato is pursuing other avenues that will allow him to focus more on his thriving fitness business. Good luck to you both.

Scott Pursell is returning to Australia, one of the most versatile and popular players we have had a Combe in recent years and a player that always gives 100% no matter where he is selected or whatever side he is selected for. He takes our thanks and best wishes with him, hopefully we can get him into a Drummoyne Dirty Reds shirt upon his return down under.

Finally Coaches Danny Vaughan, Gareth Jackson and Simon Campbell are all stepping back from their respective roles. They have given countless hours to the club over last seasons campaign and we will be eternally grateful for their efforts and wish them the best of luck in their next positions.
