Come and join the fun !

Westcombe Park RFC will be hosting their first ever “Bring a Friend to Rugby” day on Sunday, 27 September, 10:00 am – midday.

The idea is for our current minis players (U7s-U12s) to invite a friend, relative, neighbour, classmate or any young person who may be interested in experiencing what the club has to offer. We also run an U6s team where the emphasis is on training only (no structured fixtures or festivals).

Our club focuses on safety, inclusion and enjoyment in terms of our minis teams. New boys and girls, irrespective of rugby experience, are always welcome. Tag rugby is played through to the U8s and full contact rugby is gradually introduced from the U9s.

For those of you with a daughter aged between 11 and 16 our club also has a dedicated all-girls squad which we are keen to expand. For more information please contact the girls' Team Manager and Membership Secretary Tim Leng (membership@westcombeparkrugby.co.uk).

A club safeguarding officer is always present during our Sunday morning training sessions. Each minis team has a minimum of 2 qualified first aiders and every coach is RFU qualified and DBS-checked.

The morning will be an opportunity for you and your young players to experience our club in action and be part of something special.

Hot food and beverages will be available from 9:30 am on the day in the clubhouse. There will also be an ice cream van selling a huge variety of lollies, cones and slush puppies throughout the morning and after practice.

So if you know a young person who would enjoy a family-oriented environment that is fun, purposeful and safe, please feel free to contact any minis age group official (refer to the “Teams” section) or simply turn up on the 27th in trainers and sports gear (mouth guards are required from the U9s upwards).

Alternatively, please contact gregory.pring@westcombeparkrugby.co.uk
