Pre season fixtures also announced

I would firstly like to thank all Members and current players for making me most welcome on my return to Combe.

As anticipated, the fabric of the club is intact, and the desire to remain as one of the senior Kent & south east sides as strong as ever.
I thought it useful to update members on the structure for next season.
Jamie White will continue as head coach, and will be assisted by club stalwart Duncan Fotheringham ( forwards ) and Ben Hough ( backs player/coach )
Si Cambell will continue to look after the 2nd XV and both squads will be whipped into shape by Strength & Conditioning coach James Leverington.
James performed a similar role for me at Maidstone rugby club and he is one of the best..
Mark Ley will continue to manage the 1st XV squad.
On the playing front, inspirational skipper Hamish Barton was the first to sign for the 2014/15 season and all of last years players have followed suit.
Strength in depth has been a problem over previous seasons but we have made some very good signings to boost the depth & quality of the squad.
More details of new players will be released in due course.
Pre season fixtures have been arranged against:

Canterbury away August 16th
Gravesend home August 23rd
Welsh tour away August 30th

This season the academy side will also report into the
senior structure, these young men will get the benefit of training with senior players and working with the senior coaching and S&C team.
I will provide a further update nearer the start of the season.
Best Wishes
Andy Foley
Director of Rugby
