He also arranges CPD courses and agrees coaches' personal development through various RFU Award courses. Chris has been coaching this squad since the 2007/8 season, taking them right through Mini rugby and overseeing their transition into Junior rugby. He has also assisted other Minis age groups to ensure a smooth transition from tag into contact rugby. Chris has also coached the club's recently formed girls squads. He is currently RFU Level 2 certified.

Andy Fryatt
Andy is Director of Rugby and responsible for the development of all grades of rugby, from the Minis right up to the 1st XV Team. He has over 30 years' playing experience (mainly at half back) in both Kent and South Wales and was also a Society Referee for several years. He has been coaching at WPRFC since 2007 and at other clubs for many years beforehand. Andy is currently RFU Level 2 certified and is working towards Level 3.

John Hughes
John (aka "Hughesy") is one of several club coaches not attached to a particular age group. He currently assists with coaching any youth age group and brings a wealth of experience to the club, having played at ‘Combe for over 30 years and has coached at both school level as well as at various other clubs. Like the other members of the Youth Coaching Committee, Hughesy is committed to empowering all coaches and players to be the best they can be. He is currently RFU Level 2 certified.

Adrian Boyd
Adrian (aka "Boydy") is currently Head Coach of the club’s U14s Hawks for the 2017/18 season, having been with them since they were U7s. He brings significant playing experience, having himself played for 'Combe from the U8s right through to the 1st XV. In addition, he is a Cambridge University Blue, played for Richmond 1st XV at the start of the professional era and has a number of representative playing honours. Boydy is committed to ensuring that all involved with 'Combe (players, coaches & parents alike) enjoy the game as much as he does. He is currently RFU Level 2 certified.

Duncan Fotheringham
Duncan (aka "Fothers") has coached at 'Combe for various junior age groups throughout his playing career and is currently the club’s assistant coach for the 1st XV and Head Coach of the U18s for the 2017/18 season. He brings considerable playing and coaching experience, having played primarily for 'Combe with sabbaticals for the Wanderers in Johannesburg, Hull and Askeans and has a number of representative playing honours. Fothers is passionate about encouraging not only the improvement but the participation and enjoyment for all players and coaches. He would love to see a 'Combe 1st XV play in the national leagues comprised solely of home grown talent. Fothers is currently RFU Level 2 certified.

Phillip Tagg
Phillip (aka "Phil") is the club's newly appointed Director of Youth Rugby and has been with WPRFC since 2004 and has coached and managed from the U7s to the U18s. More recently he as been Squad Manager of the club’s emerging Academy structure being developed under the 1st Team collective. Phil has an empathetic coaching style, focussing on fun and inclusion, with a strong result-driven pedigree at mini & junior levels. During his coaching “career” to date he has taken his WPRFC youth side to 5 Kent Cup wins across numerous age groups. Triumphs include 1 Kent Plate win and 1 Kent Cup runners up across an 11-season period plus countless regional festival wins along the way, creating a youth side that was the envy of many during that era. A qualified referee, Phil has taken the Academy squad to the National Colts Finals in 2012 and again in 2013, winning the National Plate on both occasions, the proceeds of which are proudly displayed above the bar at the clubhouse. He holds numerous CPD certificates, has coached with Bromley Borough MyTime for several years in schools teaching Tag Rugby and has acted as a lead coach for Bromley District Rugby Under 15s and U16s for 3 seasons. Phil is currently RFU Level 2 certified.

Richard Leonard
Richard has been involved with 'Combe for 18 years, having first joined as an U8s player and progressing all the way through to the adult teams. He played for both Bangor University and Bangor City RFC during his time at university. For one year Richard was the head coach of the Westcombe Park Cougars, but sadly had to leave that team to pursue a job with Premiership Rugby in Brazil, helping to start the Try Rugby SP Project as a Community Rugby Coach. There he was coaching and developing rugby in a city near Sao Paulo helping to introduce rugby to over 1,000 children. Following that, he then spent another 6 months developing rugby in the state of Santa Caterina, also in Brazil. Since returning to the UK Richard has been playing for the 'Combe Gents while at the same time assisting with the coaching of our club's U6s and U7s age groups. He is currently RFU Level 2 certified.

Pete Livett
Pete coached The Stormers at 'Combe from the Juniors up to U18s and then the Academy. Although that time included cups & county league titles and 3 consecutive National finals with two National titles, he believes his most significant achievement was being able to run successful A & B teams throughout the whole period, right up to U18s and winning the Kent County U18 B team league. This meant that over 40 good-standard players were transitioned to the 'Combe adult section which, like all of us, he believes must be the ultimate aim. Pete had some outstanding support from a team of parents, managers & coaches and is why he is keen to support the current youth coaches and replicate his experience as much as possible. The participation of parents, with a clear pathway for players and retaining them to build a strong 'Combe, are Pete’s main mantras. He has helped the Central Coaching Committee in many ways over the last few years especially when helping coaches prepare for Level 1 and 2 courses. Pete has worked with Mytime of Bromley for rugby development and even managed to wangle a coach's spot for the Bridgend College 2014 tour of Hong Kong (that water doesn't carry itself you know ). He is currently RFU Level 2 certified.

Richard Morkill
Richard is currently a player, supporter and coach at Westcombe Park. He has played for the club in the IV’s, V’s, Gents and Vets teams and has also played for the City of London. In addition, Richard has been a coach with the club since 2006, coaching all levels of rugby in the minis and juniors. He is currently RFU Level 2 certified.

Katie Shaw
Katie (aka "Cava Kate") is currently (and has been for the past 5 seasons) our Head of Junior Rugby and is a member of the club's Safeguarding Team. She first began her affiliation with 'Combe as a mum on the touchline, bringing her son to play rugby within the Stormers age group. Katie then soon became a first aider and safe guarding representative and continued in these roles for our Academy team, even after her son stopped playing. She is passionate about creating an enjoyable and progressive rugby environment for all of our Mini and Junior players. Katie also keeps the Central Coaching Team in check!
